One day, a big Lion was sleeping under a tree.
A tiny Mouse ran by and tickled his nose.
“ROAR!” went the Lion, waking up.
He caught the Mouse with his big paw.
“Who woke me up?” growled the Lion.
“I will eat you!”
The little Mouse was scared.
“I’m sorry! Please let me go!” he said.
“Maybe one day, I can help you!”
The Lion laughed. “You? Help me?”
But he let the Mouse go.
Days later, the Lion got stuck in a rope net.
He roared and roared.
The Mouse heard him and ran fast.
“Don’t worry! I’ll help you!” said the Mouse.
He bit the ropes with his tiny teeth.
He nibbled and nibbled.
Snap! Snap! Snap! The ropes broke!
The Lion was free!
“Thank you, little friend,” said the Lion.
“You are small—but very brave!”
Even little friends can do big things. Good things happen to those that do good.
